Event Description

For the past 17 years, artist, design lecturer, and storyteller Eames Demetrios has travelled the world installing markers and historic sites honoring events and other aspects of a parallel universe he calls Kcymaerxthaere. To date there are 142 installations in 27 linear languages in 30 countries—and the work is ongoing.  In addition to being an engaging group of stories, Kcymaerxthaere offers some tools for addressing the very challenges of our times called out by this conference—indeed, he has spoken often to corporate groups about such approaches.  In that context, Demetrios will talk about the importance of seeing the world fresh, the rightful place of wise technology beside smart technology, and the importance in our individual and collective lives of seeing what is not there . . . which can also be what is not yet there.
