Tokorozawa Sakura Town has various programs and technologies such as a book manufacturing factory using digital technology, a distribution warehouse, an office, an event hall linked to animation culture, a hotel, a retail store, Musashino Reiwa Shrine, and a seamlessly integrated library and museum. It is a city where people "participate" and "create", connecting with the surrounding area. Introducing the Kadokawa Culture Museum, which symbolizes the most diversity of in Tokorozawa Sakura Town, with a focus on design.

Speaker Bios

Suguru Watanabe (Kengo Kuma & Associates / Partner)
Suguru Watanabe joined Kengo Kuma & Associates in 2005. He is involved in designing not only domestic and overseas architectural projects of various sizes, but also furniture, graphics, video, products, etc. At Tokorozawa Sakura Town, he is in charge of design supervision of the entire exterior, Kadokawa Culture Museum, Musashino Reiwa Shrine, and landscape.

Keiko Onohara joined Kengo Kuma & Associates in 2018. She was in charge of interior design of Kadokawa Culture Museum.
