We are delighted to invite you to attend the second event in AIA Hong Kong’s 2023 First Projects series with Pablo Castro and Jennifer Lee of Obra Architects.

Founded in New York City in 2000 by Pablo Castro, FAIA, and Jennifer Lee, AIA LEED AP, Obra is engaged in architecture at all scales, from master planning and institutional work to interiors, furniture, and public art. The firm prides itself on producing unique design solutions that involve the latest technology for every project. They have developed a practice that emphasises teamwork and spirited dialogue between architects and consultants, ensuring that each project is developed efficiently and collaboratively.

Speaker Bio

Jennifer Lee, AIA LEED AP
Jennifer is a Principal and Co-Founder of Obra Architects. She is a recipient of the 2022 John Q. Hejduk Award, the 2007 Cooper Union Urban Visionary Emerging Talent award, and is both an NYFA Fellow and an SAH de Montëquin Senior Fellow. She has co-directed the design and development of more than 170 works, many of which are award-winning projects recognized internationally.

Pablo Castro, FAIA
Pablo is a Principal and Co-Founder of Obra Architects, a Rome Prize Fellow, an NYFA Fellow, and an SAH de Montëquin Senior Fellow. He has practiced architecture with a broad social agenda and his tenure at Obra Architects is responsible for a large body of award-winning projects. This includes six AIA NY Design Awards, the 2008 ID Annual Design Review Award, and two 2004 Chicago Athenaeum American Architecture Awards.
