Abimbola Olubukunola Ajayi is a distinguished Nigerian architect with over three decades of multidisciplinary experience in residential, commercial, institutional, religious, and recreational developments. She brings a community-driven and future-oriented approach to design, with a strong commitment to sustainability and professional development.

A graduate of the University of Lagos, with earlier education in the UK, Abimbola is currently a partner at Kenning Homes Limited, where she leads project development and design innovation.

Through her career, she has held leadership roles at leading architectural firms including ArchiWorks Associates, Alpha Architects, and Towry-Coker Associates. She also served as Director of Building Projects for the Redeemed Christian Church of God (Apapa Family), overseeing large-scale development initiatives.

A pioneer in the profession, she became the first female Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (Lagos Chapter) and later its first female Honorary General Secretary. She is the founder of the Lagos Architects Forum (LAF)—a major West African platform for architectural exchange.

Her influence extends to public policy, planning, and education through roles with the UIA, the Africa Union of Architects, and various Lagos State bodies. She has represented Nigeria at global conferences from Seoul to Dubai and advocates for sustainable development, policy reform, and architectural education.

Her leadership, both visionary and practical, continues to shape the architectural profession in Nigeria and inspire the next generation.
