Arc. Ahmad Usman Naibi is a graduate of Architecture from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Recognized for design excellence early in his career, he received the Society of Architecture Students (S.A.S) Best Design Award in 2005. His initial professional experience with Habitat Associates exposed him to complex design projects.
As an Associate Partner at M-Tah Consultants Ltd, he coordinated major government developments, including the Nigerian Customs Headquarters, various CBN branches, and the ECOWAS Parliament Building. In 2014, he founded Icons Arkitektur-OCA Ltd, through which he has led diverse projects ranging from luxury residences to large-scale commercial developments across Nigeria and Canada.
Ahmad is an International Associate of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a long-standing member of the AIA Global Practice Committee. He is also a DGNB-certified sustainable building consultant, strongly advocating for carbon-neutral and eco-conscious design solutions. A Chartered Architect and member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) since 2013, he actively contributes to several institute committees.
Beyond architecture, he enjoys basketball, golf, and travel.
