Asher Marcus is the founder and lead architect of Hubo Studio, an award-winning architecture firm specializing in educational and kid-centric spaces. Hubo creates environments that inspire and nurture young minds, fostering creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning. The studio works on a broad range of projects, from new builds to major renovations, across local and international contexts.

Asher’s design philosophy is deeply influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach, prioritizing children as active participants in their environments. Hubo emphasizes process-driven, collaborative design, involving key stakeholders throughout.

Asher is a member of AIA, SAIA, and GIFA, and a registered professional architect with SACAP. He is a finalist in the World Architecture Festival 2025 for the Redhill Early Learning Centre in Johannesburg.
