Event Description

From the ancient grandeur of Sigiriya Rock Fortress to the refined simplicity of Geoffrey Bawa’s tropical modernism, Sri Lanka showcases centuries of architectural brilliance. With eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a rich landscape teeming with wildlife, the island is a haven for architecture enthusiasts and cultural explorers alike.

Join eminent architects, thought leaders, and peers from around the world gathering in Colombo from 9 to 11 October to explore the theme: ‘The Art Within Architecture’.

Beyond the conference hall, you will set out on specially curated architectural tours to discover some of Colombo’s highlights; you will also have the opportunity to venture further afield from 12 October onwards to encounter the architectural wonders and scenic splendour of Sri Lanka.

Program Summary

Optional Extension tours are on offer on Wednesday 8 October, followed by an informal evening meetup.

The conference will open formally on Thursday 9 October at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel and run for 3 days, with afternoon tours on 9 and 10 October, and the Gala Dinner on Saturday 11 October.

Optional Extension tours are available for Sunday 12 October onwards.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received on or before 15 September 2025 will receive a full refund, less Eventbrite processing fees.

Cancellations on or after 16 September 2025 will not receive a refund.

AIA International, its programmers and moderators can and will select those questions and comments they deem pertinent to the talk and program.
