We are excited to announce our first ever East Asia Symposium, hosted by AIA South Korea in Seoul!

Event Description

You are invited to Seoul for the East Asia Symposium! This collaborative project is hosted by AIA South Korea and supported by AIA Chapters, Sections and members across the region, including from Japan, Hong Kong and Taipei. 

Join us for a two-day symposium exploring the theme of ‘Global Cities, Local Cultures‘. How can cities grow and modernize while preserving their architectural heritage and cultural identity? What can we learn from Seoul, a city where rapid development exists in tension with cultural preservation?

This symposium brings together architects, urban planners, and design leaders from across East Asia and beyond for a program of talks, panel discussions, and guided city tours.
