Camille Kelly graduated from Charlestown Sixth Form College in 1999 and began pursuing her dream of becoming an architect in 2000 at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2004 and a Master of Architecture, with an emphasis in Urban Planning and Design, in 2005. Her thesis, Culture, Climate and Architecture in the Caribbean, focused on the island of Nevis and investigated the relationship between climate change, human behaviour, how they in turn affected our culture. Her research has informed the design and development of local projects, including the Charlestown Ferry Dock and the Cultural Complex, enhancing the Nevisian cultural experience while promoting positive community interaction.
In 2010, Camille attended Pennsylvania State University, where she earned certification in Marcellus Shale Land Use Practices in Pennsylvania. Ms. Kelly is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and an active member of the St. Kitts and Nevis Institute of Architects (SKNIA), where she has also served on the Executive Board.
After a decade of professional experience in the United States, Camille's passion for her home country led her to return to Nevis in 2012 and establish her own practice, ConKrete Architectural Design (CAD). As Principal Architect, she oversees all aspects of project coordination, design, and implementation. With over 20 years of professional experience, she has developed expertise across a broad range of project types, including urban planning, master planning, industrial, commercial, institutional, civic, healthcare, recreational, and residential projects. A progressive professional, she remains actively involved throughout every phase of a project, balancing design excellence with functional, technical, and client objectives.
Camille's professional achievements include receiving Gresham Smith & Partners' Commitment to Excellence Award (2008) and the Women in Business Award in Nevis (2018). She also serves as a Board Member of the Nevis Solid Waste Management Authority, reflecting her ongoing commitment to the sustainable development of her community.
