James Wright, currently serving in his fourth year as a member of the AIA International Practice Committee Advisory Group and is the initial AIA International Region Vice President.  He is one of the seven Senior Principals of Page Southerland Page, Inc., and the Design Director of the firm's Washington, DC office; he serves as CEO of Page Southerland Page International, Ltd., and Page Southerland Page International, LLC, the firm’s two international contracting entities, and is the Board Manager of Page Southerland Page International, LLC-Abu Dhabi.  More information on James, his background and approach to design can be found at http://pagethink.com/v/people-detail/James-M-Wright/3q/.

James received his Masters in Architecture with Special Commendation from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in 1975 and his Bachelor of Science in Architecture, summa cum laude, from the Ohio State University two years prior.  Following completion of his graduate studies, James was awarded a Fulbright-Hays independent studies fellowship in urban design, basing him in Bucharest, Romania for a year during the height of the Socialist regime.  In 39 years of practice James has led the design of nearly $4 billion of building construction in the U.S. and over 40 other countries.  Joining Page as its Washington, DC Principal in 1997, James developed a U.S. embassy design studio that transformed the five-person office he inherited to a team of over 60 architects and interior designers.  In addition to the vast portfolio of State Department work performed overseas, James has foreign client built project experience worldwide along with over 40 significant projects in the U.S.

Mr. Wright was elevated to the College of Fellows in 2017.
