Johnny Fu is a licensed architect in the State of Illinois and a LEED AP with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he minored in Construction Management and actively participated as a member and volunteer with the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS). 

Johnny brings a well-rounded perspective to his work, having gained experience in both client and consultant roles. This dual expertise equips him with a deep understanding of customer-centric design and the ability to balance diverse stakeholder priorities. His portfolio focuses primarily on hospitality projects, demonstrating his passion for elevating guest experiences through design. 

Specializing in feasibility studies, guest journey mapping, and master planning, Johnny has worked extensively on urban and resort hotel projects across China, Japan, Southeast Asia, the United States, and the Middle East. His ability to integrate cultural nuances into his designs ensures that each project is not only functional but also deeply connected to its local context, enhancing the guest experience. 

As an active member of AIA Hong Kong, Johnny has served the Chapter in various leadership roles. In 2015, he co-founded the Young Architects Group and later held key positions such as Co-Chair of the Nominating Committees (2016, 2017) and Treasurer of the Executive Committee (2017, 2018). In 2024, he served as Chapter President, during which the Chapter successfully hosted the AIA International Conference, bringing together over 400 AIA members and industry leaders from 27 countries.
