Construction is the biggest industry in the global economy, yet it trails behind every industry in terms of digitisation. The COVID-19 crisis looks set to dramatically accelerate disruption that started well before the crisis, in the advancement of alternative forms of construction. A fundamental shift in the construction ecosystem is needed to ensure we capitalise on the opportunities to embed more efficient and more sustainable forms of construction, while improving outcomes for asset owners and the ultimate users. This presentation explores what the future of construction may look like.
