AIA UK is excited to host a session with Gunnar Hubbard on how we can truly make low carbon approaches part of our design process. We will cover topics including:

  • Carbon reduction is a goal, how do we bring this to the forefront of our design process?

  • How is our design process changing?

  • How do the AIA ethical responsibilities play in to our work?

  • Climate Action: how do we actually have an impact? Decarbonization Policies?

  • Case Studies will be shared.

Speaker Bio

Gunnar Hubbard, FAIA, LEED Fellow, is the Sustainability Practice Leader at Thornton Tomasetti.  He is a recognized leader in green building across the U.S. and in Asia, Europe and the Middle East, with 30 years of experience as a licensed architect, consultant, educator and advocate. He oversees green building experts in the New York City, London, San Francisco, Boston and Portland, Maine offices. Gunnar is an expert in creating high performance, low energy, healthy buildings. His current focus is on advancing the firm’s building analytics services and expertise in certification systems such as Passive House, Living Building Challenge and WELL.
