AIA Southeast Asia - Context and Climate based Decarbonization in Southeast Asia

In pursuing sustainability, our approach for decarbonization in each project is “Strategy first” , which means to take a step back, evaluating the conditions of the Site, Social context, Materials & construction methods. These elements become a key driver for the whole design process, which we will demonstrate through 3 project examples:

- Twin Beans Farm: A retreat in a serene area at the boundaries of Da Lat, using permaculture design and mostly on-site materials, breathing into new life to dried trees and used materials

- Tuan Viet Shoes integrated office: Adaptive reuse of an old warehouse into a sustainable office with innovation around strategic planning, structure, facade, and biophilia oriented spaces

- Multipurpose dining hall: rethinking building operation and accessibility for a dining hall that accommodates 3000 workers with an open facade in response to time and climate.
