This 1-hour workshop introduces the inaugural AIA International Emerging Architect Award, a new recognition program celebrating emerging professionals across AIA International.

The session will explain who should apply, how the nomination process works, what materials are required, and how candidates can present a strong story of leadership, design contribution, public service, and professional impact.

The award is open to AIA International members within their first ten years of professional experience.

The workshop will also provide guidance on preparing the nomination letter, recommendation letters, candidate biography, summary of accomplishments, exhibits, and candidate photographs. Special attention will be given to how applicants can demonstrate their “ripple effect” beyond day-to-day practice through leadership, mentoring, public service, publications, presentations, geographic impact, and legacy through others.
