Sue Courtenay is a registered architect, senior project manager, and Principal Architect of VIVIDARCH Co. Ltd. in Belize, with more than 30 years of professional experience delivering architecture and infrastructure projects across Belize and the Caribbean. Her work spans the public and private sectors, leading multidisciplinary teams on complex, climate-resilient projects funded by organizations including the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), World Bank, European Union, and UNOPS.

Throughout her career, Sue has combined design excellence with strategic project leadership, overseeing architectural design, construction administration, procurement, contract management, and stakeholder engagement. She is particularly committed to advancing sustainable, context-responsive design and strengthening the resilience of the built environment throughout the Caribbean.

Sue has also made significant contributions to the architectural profession through regional leadership and governance. She served as President of the Federation of Caribbean Associations of Architects (2012–2015), Chair of the Academic Advisory Committee of the Caribbean School of Architecture, and President and General Secretary of the Association of Professional Architects of Belize. She is also a founding member of the Caribbean Architects Mutual Recognition Agreement Committee, helping to advance professional collaboration and standards across the region.

She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and an MBA from the University of the West Indies. Sue is a registered Professional Architect with the Association of Professional Architects of Belize (APAB), a LEED Green Associate, and holds PRINCE2 Foundation certification in project management.
