Vice-Dean COAC, CSCAE Representative

Graduate at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB), Guim Costa Calsamiglia is vice dean of the Architects Association of Catalonia (COAC) and a representative of the Superior Council of the Orders of Architects of Spain (CSCAE). He has his own practice since 1995, Costa Calsamiglia Architecture, from where he has been developing architectural, urban planning and furniture design projects at a national and international level. We could highlight, for example, the Olivé-Gumà Hospital in Barcelona; the EFD-India Headquarters in Bangalore;  the Thomsen-Milakova House in the Costa Brava and the Arne chair. With several awards and mentions, he has given various lectures on his work. In parallel, and throughout his career, he has written some articles and collaborated with various publishing companies and professional magazines, such as Quaderns d’arquitectura i Urbanisme or the Editorial Gustavo Gili. In 2011 he founded the furniture publisher, Gidlööf Originals. 

In addition to his participation on the governing bodies of the Architects Association, he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Manuel Blancafort Foundation and a trustee of the Ginesta Foundation.
