John Schuyler, AIA, LEED AP, is Partner at FXCollaborative, a New York City-based architecture, interiors, and planning design firm. John leads and manages a variety of the firm’s challenging large-scale architectural and urban design projects, and ensures the integration of sustainable design within the vision for each project, building, or master plan. His work includes leadership on several major transportation projects including Empire Station Complex Master Plan in NYC, and Master Plans for Sunnyside Yards in Queens and Penn Coach Yards in Philadelphia. John understands that a city’s evolution must consistently support and nurture a growing community from an economic, environmental, and urban perspective, and believes that our spaces, streets, and buildings are the background for a more engaged social and cultural life. He holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, is a frequent teacher and lecturer, and has been featured in numerous publications.
