Thomas Coldefy earned an architecture degree from Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris in 2002 and has been the Principal of Coldefy since 2006. His previous experience includes positions in high-quality offices, namely in New York. After his arrival at Coldefy, his originality and resourcefulness have brought the studio success in a number of entries, including the Hong Kong Design Institute which Coldefy won in 2006 against 162 teams. Coldefy develops projects in France and abroad and covers the fields of education, culture, leisure, housing, offices, retails, urbanism. Its offices are in Lille, Paris, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Coldefy distinguishes itself with an open and innovative spirit. Coldefy’s project method brings an extreme focus on the site, an urban culture concerned with the appropriate density and diversity, as well as a conceptualization process where the various project factors are continually brought together to the point of overlap.  

Included among the current projects are the National Pulse Memorial & Museum in Orlando, Florida, the Bao'an Cultural and Art Center in Shenzhen, Tropicalia, the largest greenhouse in the world in the North of France; the Institute of Sustainable Transport and the Institute of International Management on the Campus of the University of Valenciennes, the innovative district C40 - MKNO in Greater Paris, the China Foundation, a student residence at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris
