AIA Shanghai is pleased to announce our second annual AIA Shanghai Design Excellence Awards Program. We will open our call for entries in July. This international design awards program celebrates new architecture in China, and welcomes entries from both AIA members and non-members practicing in China.
Last year, we inaugurated the first ever AIA award program in China, with the goal to honor design excellence regardless of scale, budget, style, or type. We were thrilled to receive over 100 entries. AIA Shanghai conferred seven honor awards in the categories of public architecture, commercial architecture, heritage architecture, housing architecture, urban design, interior architecture, and unbuilt projects. The winning Awards were judged by a jury comprised of leading figures from around the world including Reed Kroloff, Regine Leibinger, Lyndon Neri, Magui Peredo, Billie Tsien, and Zheng Shi Ling. Winners were announced at our Annual Banquet in December at the Peninsula Hotel on the Bund.
Call for entries will open in mid-July. Please check our website (www.aiarchitectsh.org) more information and registration.
