AIA United Kingdom

The current COVID-19 pandemic has inevitably had an effect on the AIA UK Chapter's regularly scheduled programming for 2020.  Chapter leadership are working to enable the digitization of events where possible, and collaborating with sponsors to offer continuing education opportunities through online platforms for the next few months.  Changes to dates of key events and any upcoming CES opportunities will be communicated to members via email and social media; email chapterexecutive@aiauk.org to sign up to the mailing list, or follow us on social media (Instagram: @aia.uk, Twitter: @aiauk).

The chapter recently amended its mission statement and future goals to capture the prioritization of responding to climate change.  Details on changes and goals can be found in the newsletter article here: http://www.aiauk.org/news/2020/2/4/aia-uk-amended-mission-statement-future-goals.  As part of the renewed focus on sustainability, the chapter leadership have created a subcommittee headed by Alex Miller, AIA, and Dr. Mark Breeze, AIA.  Sustainability resources have been made available via the AIA UK website (http://www.aiauk.org/sustainability), and an article reflecting on work done by the chapter to date, here: http://www.aiauk.org/news/2020/2/4/looking-back-looking-forward-aia-uk-and-sustainability-10-years-on.  Please send comments and suggestions for further initiatives regarding sustainability to chapterexecutive@aiauk.org.
