Winners announced for Student Design Awards 2025
Celebrating the future of architecture in Canada, the AIA Canada Student Design Awards Program honors outstanding student work that reflects technical excellence, sustainable thinking, and inclusive design practices. We received 39 submissions from 11 Canadian post-secondary institutions and are grateful to jurors Chris Johnson (Past President, CASA / Intern Architect at Svedas Architects, Inc.) and Amit Price Patel (Partner at Dialog) for their thoughtful review. Congratulations to our six selected winners!
AIA Canada Reception at RAIC Conference – 1 June 2025
As a Friend Sponsor of the 2025 RAIC (Royal Architectural Institute of Canada) Conference in Montreal, AIA Canada hosted a lively reception with over 100 attendees from across Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Portugal (AIA Continental Europe), and as far as New Zealand. Led by AIA Canada President Dora Ng, Past President Dr. Adam Pantelimon, Director Neil Robertson, and Executive Assistant Rommy Rodriguez, the evening was a true reflection of the strength of our professional community and the value of global connection.

AIA National Caucus – Boston, 4 June 2025

RIBA Collaboration
AIA Canada is actively collaborating with and supporting the formation of the RIBA Canada Chapter. On 2 June, President Dora Ng, Dr. Adam Pantelimon, and Rommy Rodriguez attended the RIBA Networking Event in Montreal, hosted with the British Consulate-General at the Mount Royal Club.
In addition, Dr. Adam Pantelimon—Past President of AIA Canada and a Fellow of the RIBA who serves on the steering committee for the new RIBA Canada Chapter—accepted an invitation from the British Consul General to New England to attend a RIBA Networking Reception. The event was held at the Consul General’s official residence in Boston, Massachusetts.
