AIA Hong Kong Update - April 2026

2025 AIA Hong Kong Honors & Awards Celebration

We had a strong start to 2026 with multiple programmes underway. Congratulations to our 2026 President, Shannon Ho, for taking the lead with the theme of Building Belonging”.

AIA Hong Kong 2026 YAG Mentorship Program Kick-off

On Valentine’s Day, we held the AIA Hong Kong YAG Mentorship 2026 Kick-off Event at DX Design Hub, welcoming 59 mentees and 11 mentors—our largest cohort since the programme began. The morning provided an informative and relaxed environment for sharing and networking, creating an open space for mentees to connect, ask questions, and explore different career paths before finalising their mentor selection.

We are excited to see these new connections develop over the coming year and look forward to an inspiring mentorship journey ahead. Kudos to our YAG Chair Charles Kwan, the YAG committee, and all mentors for making this possible.

AIA Hong Kong 2025 Honors & Awards Celebration

On March 5, we gathered at the Fringe Club for the 2025 AIA Hong Kong Honors & Awards Celebration—an evening dedicated to recognizing design excellence and the strength of our community. The programme featured an exhibition of award-winning projects, the presentation of honours, and an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues over food, drinks, and music.

Congratulations to all this year’s honorees, whose work reflects creativity, resilience, and leadership. Your contributions continue to strengthen Hong Kong’s architectural landscape and its connection to the global design community.

The evening was a reminder of how design excellence and community come together to shape the future of architecture. We look forward to continuing this journey together. And last but certainly not least, a very special thank you to our office manager, Clare Huang, for her years of dedicated service to AIA Hong Kong.

AIA Hong Kong Sustainability Digest

Since the beginning of the year, we have launched a Sustainability Digest to raise awareness and support sustained action across programmes, while highlighting developments at the AIA National level and strengthening communication around advocacy efforts. Many thanks to Vikki Lew and Gus Chan, Co-Chairs of COTE, for helping to steer this effort towards a topic that we sometimes take for granted.
