Dear Members of AIA International,
We are seeking nominations for the position of AIA International Treasurer, to serve on the board for a two (2) year term.
Deadline for nominations extended to Tuesday 17 June 2025 at 5:00pm (Eastern U.S. Time).
At AIA Japan, we inaugurated the year 2024 in January with our new President, Yumiko Yamada. For our members, we’ve organized enriching experiences, including visits to architecture galleries, beer nights and lecture series. Additionally, our secretary for 2024, Tom Bader, represented us at the Leadership Summit in Washington DC.
In the past three months, AIA Hong Kong has been very busy. They have organized seven remarkable events, from talks on sustainability and technology in fabrication processes to a mentorship program. We are also excited to announce that AIA Hong Kong will be hosting the next International Conference in Hong Kong, from October 24th to 27th, 2024. Please save the date!
AIA International was a co-sponsor for the "Architecture: A Lasting Impact" conference in Sri Lanka on August 5-6, 2023. The event was organized by the RIBA Members: Sri Lanka, headed by Nela de Zoysa, Hon. FAIA. Nela de Zoysa is AIA International's Country Representative to Sri Lanka and formerly served on the AIA Strategic Council.
As the Chapter is in the process of applying for NGO status, we have not been able to organize any events under the AIA Shanghai name.
