AIA Hong Kong Update - April 2024

AIA Hong Kong, YAG Mentorship Program

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting the next International Conference in Hong Kong. Save the date for an extraordinary experience from October 24th to 27th, 2024. The conference will be both virtual and physical, aiming to explore Architectural Intelligence cultivated from the past and emerging from cutting-edge technologies as we embrace the future. Over the course of three days, our global speakers will share t insights across three main pillars:

1. Building connections

2. Enhancing experiences

3. Empowering communities

In the past three months, we have organized seven remarkable programs. We had a valuable Greater Bay Area session with Professor Terrence Curry, AIA, highlighting technology integration in fabrication processes. Sustainability has been a key focus with collaborative events with AIA Taipei and our participation in the International Spring Conference. We’ve also launched our YAG mentorship program and celebrated gender diversity on International Women's Day, featuring inspiring leaders from our community, such as Past Presidents Florence Chan, AIA, and Yimei Chan, AIA, moderated by Chapter Treasurer, Cynthia Ting, AIA.

Celebrating International Women's Day

Many more exciting events lie ahead, including a trip to Vietnam to learn about hospitality and wood design, and the visit to the Build4Asia Conference, where we will gain insights from our H&A award winners on sustainable design excellence.

Please join us to our next seminar, Navigating Financial Shoals in a Changing World, on April 11, where we will delve into the pressing issues that many architectural firms face, specifically in the realm of accounting and risk management.

Stay tuned for more updates!
