Secretary 2027-2028 – Call for Nominations

Dear Members of AIA International,

We are seeking nominations for the position of AIA International Secretary, to serve on the board for a two (2) year term, serving from January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2028.

As a corporate officer of AIA International, the Secretary performs the following duties:

  • Serves as an Officer of the Board

  • Records all actions taken at meetings of the Board of Directors

  • Holds overall responsibility for communications with members and continuing education

  • Coordinates the Annual General Meeting (AGM)

  • Performs other duties assigned by the President or by the Board of Directors

  • Has general responsibility for aspects of governance and operations of the component.

NOMINATIONS

Any current members of AIA International: Architects, Associates, and International Associates (including Emeritus) in good standing, may be nominated. The nomination form is available here: 2027 Secretary Nomination.

Nominations for Secretary may be submitted:

  • by the Board of Directors; or

  • by any AIA chapter located outside the United States; or

  • by an AIA International member through a petition containing the signatures of ten eligible members. A copy of the petition may be found at www.aiainternational.org. If not all the nominating members are able to sign one petition form, multiple forms may be used to collect the required ten signatures.

The nomination submission must include:

  • Candidacy Form and photo (required)

  • Nominating Petition with signatures (required only for those members nominating themselves)

  • Video Platform (optional).

All forms shall be submitted in PDF format unless requested otherwise.

All nominations shall be sent to the AIA International Secretary, Stephanie Kinnick, AIA, no later than Friday 5 June 2026 at 5:00pm (Eastern U.S. Time).

ELECTIONS

The Secretary will be elected by secret ballot, conducted via an online voting platform, during June 2026.
