In April, AIA International Immediate Past President Scott Gold, visiting Sydney from Japan, shared lunch with AIA Oceania members and guests along with one of AIA International’s sponsors Laufen Roca.
The AIA Conference held in San Diego in early June was attended by over 13,000 delegates from within the United States and from around the world. AIA President conferred on RAIA President David Wagner honorary AIA membership continuing a tradition of over 3 decades of close association between the American and Australian Institutes.
David Wagner and AIA Oceania President Louise Cox attended the Union Internationale des Architectes Conference in Barcelona in early July with a special tour of Sagrada Familia highlighting the centenary of architect Antoni Gaudí's death and the topping out of the central Tower of Jesus Christ.

AIA Oceania has been working closely with architectural institutes in Australia and New Zealand preparing for the New Zealand Institute of Architects and Commonwealth Association of Architects Conference in Auckland from Tuesday 8th September to Thursday 10th September with AIA Oceania hosting a dinner on Monday 7th September.
This will be followed by the Royal Australian Institute of Architects Conference in Brisbane from Friday 30 October to Saturday 31 October with AIA Oceania hosting a dinner on Wednesday 28 October.
AIA Oceania will be in contact in late July with its members in these two upcoming conferences and dinners.
