The AIA Southeast Asia Annual Summer Symposium 2025, held on 12 September in Singapore and Manila with hybrid participation across the region, successfully brought together architects, designers, developers, artists, and communication experts under the theme “Nature + Technology and the Future”. Across five inspiring sessions, speakers explored topics ranging from sensory-driven inclusive design and the poetry of light to regenerative biomimicry, sustainable urban development, and the power of strategic communications for design professionals. The symposium highlighted how nature and technology together can shape resilient, human-centered, and future-ready environments while strengthening cross-border collaboration within the AIA network.
Earlier, on 28 August 2025, AIA Southeast Asia partnered with Rockfon, a leading acoustic solutions company, to host a joint event titled “Design for the Senses: The Link Between Acoustics and Wellbeing.” This session examined how sound, comfort, and acoustic design influence human experience, productivity, and wellbeing in the built environment, reinforcing the importance of sensory design strategies in shaping healthier, more sustainable spaces. The collaboration showcased how AIA Southeast Asia continues to engage with industry partners to broaden conversations on innovation and design excellence.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that a year-end gathering is being planned for our Singapore members, offering an opportunity to celebrate the year’s achievements, reconnect with colleagues, and look forward to the initiatives of 2026. More details will be shared soon — we hope to see many of you there!
