AIA Intl SE Asia 2022 Fall Symposium
AIA International SE ASIA 2022 Fall Symposium was an inaugural regional event, organized in collaboration with the Country Representatives of Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam. It was held as a free zoom event that spread over slightly more than four hours on Friday, September 02, 2022. As a leadership platform, it brought together the best thought leaders and practising architects from the SE Asia region to engage in a discourse on the theme Leadership in Design and Practice.

Spotlight on Vietnam
I was part of the SE ASIA 2022 Fall Symposium as a representative of Vietnam. My job was to invite an architect with a pioneering spirit and introduce them to the international AIA community. M.A. Hoang Manh was chosen to represent Vietnam in this conference with his lecture “Inside Out – Outside In”.

AIAISC'22 - AIA International Spring Conference and Past Events on Demand
AIAISC ‘22, the AIA International Spring Conference, returned this year on May 19-21. This year’s theme asked us to consider, how do architects position themselves to embrace change? Over 3 days, this virtual event allowed us to travel the world, through lectures, panel discussions and workshops from Canada to Japan and Brazil to Australia.

In addition to partnership with Canadian Architect magazine (which features a quarterly profile of AIA Canada Journal), we are partnering with the Architect’s Newspaper to provide members with a discount for attending the Facades+ Toronto event coming up on July 21.
AIA Continental Europe Update - July 2022
The Porto Conference, April 21 – 24, 2022 was a great success. Thanks to the Planning Team for the superb experience: Ray Spano, Pedro Balonas, Teresa Vasconcelos Bento, Pedro Petracchi and Elizabeth Heudebourg! More than 65 AIA members and guests attended the conference from all over Europe and North America including Honolulu.
AIA Hong Kong Update - July 2022
As Hong Kong has gradually loosened its COVID-19 restrictions over the past two months, we have been grateful for the opportunity of hosting in person events. These include building tours of the Advanced Manufacturing Centre, Bishop Hill Reservoir, Haw Par Mansion, and Shaw Auditorium where our members were excited to meet each other in person.
